Default Stars HU etiquette

Id like to clear this up as the situation keeps arising for me and others on Stars where someone is playing a fish HU and demands to continue playing HU when you sit down - with no indication from the fish that they want that. (Obviously if two players request HU its natural to respect it).

I would like the great and good of HSNL to offer their opinion on this so that either the games are respected and everyone takes their turn, or certain players who demand it as their right and whine in chat can be told to stfu and stop making it obvious to the fish whats going on.

Agree with you 100%. When someone's playing HU with a fish and I sit, and they say HU please I always ask the fish, and keep playing unless fish says something. Fish are in short supply at 10/20+.

I'll only leave when they both request HU. It's annoying when someone is trying to hog a fish.

i agree but the rare occasion where you get a fish HU, you'd like the respect to continue as well, espec after theyve taken you for a buyin or so already

Imo it comes down to whatever youd want if you had a fish HU.
If your happy for others to join then do it yourself.

this is understandable, but if you sit alone at full ring or 6 max tables on stars in my opinion you are not waiting to play a fish hu but starting a game, and if you get buried before that happens then tough [censored]. If you wanna play fish hu go sit on a hu table at FTP...

From the [censored] thread-

/I always just ask both players.

I never request hu and for ppl to leave unless I kno the guy I am playing prefers hu.

I think doing anything else is just dumb imo.

Im not playing 10/20 NL but prefer HU alot on stars and I expect players to sit out when I ask it to be heads up. I also do the same when I sit in on a game and any one person requests it. Since stars doesnt offer HU tables (bastards) I think if one player wants to play HU he shouldn't be forced not to. Also, if the "fish" didnt want to play HU he wouldn't of sat down. If the other person requests it not to be HU and wants to play a 6max/FR then other players should be able to play. If fish is indifferent/unresponsive it shoud stay HU IMHO.

Again this is at lower stakes and mostly PLO where the fish are plentiful.
