Any episode without creed loses 2 points on the 10 scale.

Actual God doesn't think Tenacious D has ever been funny. Take that for what you will.

[/ QUOTE ]

Although I believe this to be an excellent way of figuring out if someone doesn't have a sense of humor, it doesn't really apply here as Actual God wasn't the one bashing this episode, someone replied to him while quoting HBE's post. As much as I'd like to start an argument over my belief that this was a top 10% episode with the haters there's simply no way it will do anything.

The episode had some nice highlights, which people have pointed out. I also liked Andy's "The Finer Things Club is the most exclusive club in the office. So I have to be in it."

Overall, I thought it was a fine episode, but much closer to average or below-average for the series. Thinking some particular episode is in the bottom 25% of Office episodes (or whatever) != disliking it. I've enjoyed every episode of the Office I'm watched, but there have to be ones that were less awesome.

The whole scene with Karen's office and the ride there had me in stitches.

i thought it was pretty weak, although it was nice to see karen back. i only laughed at a couple of things (oscar's gay line, 'host the dundees', eyes/groin/face). there were some other cute and nice parts, but overall it was pretty meh.

[/ QUOTE ] nit. Have you ever liked a ep of the office?

[/ QUOTE ]

to the guy with the tenacious d comment...this is not my quote!

while it's true i do not like tenacious d, i love the office

I found Jim's character to be really annoying in this episode, but I can't quite put my finger on why.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought to myself that Jim is turning into Michael. Tries to get involved in a lot of things, tries to be funny, but nobody really laughs at his jokes. He's a Michael with somewhat better social skills.

Well this is one of the dumber things I've ever read. What exactly did he try to get involved in? He didn't really care to join the Finer People Club. He had no desire to go with Michael and Dwight to Utica. His jokes, generally, ARE funny, and for the most part his co-workers appreciate them.
