Default Sick cat, fights being force-fed. Ideas?

I've got a cat here about 4 years old, was recently pregnant, somehow become not-so-pregnant and promptly stopped eating or drinking on her own.

I've been doing everything I can to get some nourishment into her but she fights me harder and harder the more I try. I have managed to get in some meat-flavoured baby food but that's about it. Any suggestions?

Also, prefer a solution that does not involve the blunt end of a shovel, a shotgun, or anything along those lines.

This is so obvious I can't believe I even have to suggest it: get your cat stoned.

Have you taken the cat to a vet?

Um....take her to a vet perhaps??

Or be prepared to bury her pretty soon.

1. consult your vet

2. Hill Science Diet as well as Eukanuba or various other brands make a high calorie diet that is usually more palatable and has the consistency of a slurry. It's possible to syringe the food into the cats mouth, with care made to avoid having the cat aspirate.

3. Really, go to the vet.

Unfortunately, the Vet is out of the picture. Money, working, weekend, blah blah.

I'm very careful syringing the food into her mouth so she doesn't choke. Does the food come in that consistency, or do I mix it with water?

Give the cat a handful of antihistamines and then stick it in the freezer.
