Get it for free! Make sure to sign up at a site that doesn't offer rakeback, you don't want to get screwed for later.

Hard to say because they are just stats (over 1k hands) and stats don't count for much - a range of styles can be effective.

That said:

(1) You probably do defend too much. 23% of the time someone open raises from the cutoff or BB or BB you are calling or raising (often raising is better than calling)

(2) Your attempt to steal is relatively high in relation to your pre-flop raise frequency (an attempt to steal of 27% is on the high side and a 10% pre-flop raise in on the low side). This is an indication that you might be too tight in early position.

(3) You should probably call more more in spots where you fold or raise. Your aggression factor (the ratio of bets and raises to calls) is pretty high. This doesn't necessarily mean you are too aggressive - as you could be folding when you might call. It is only 1k hands and you were running hot so it could just mean that you are getting hands good enough to bet and raise with.

I would definitely say I am very tight in early position. I don't see much value in playing marginal hands oop.

Neither do I - except if you are playing with people that are paying attention it is not a bad idea to raise some funky hands early sometimes so your UTG raise isn't always the virtual nuts. If I were playing you I would fold most hands to your UTG openers and 3-bet you a lot when you raised in steal positions.

Anyway - In a 6-max most good player with an attempt to steal of 27% will have a V$PIP around 20% and a pre-flop raise percentage in the 15% range. Relative to these players you are not raising as many hands (i) when there are limpers and you are in a later position and/or (ii) when the pot is open and you are in the middle postions.

Is this for real or a sarcastic post? Perhaps being naive I clicked and didn't see poker tracker mentioned anywhere.

I just downloaded the free trial Poker Tracker as well and would like to ask if there is a thread or a site that explains just what the stats mean? Whats standard for a good tight/agressive player? Their FAQ don't address those things that I can find...
I am having trouble figureing it all out, seems like a pretty complicated program for an admited non computer geek like myself...
Thanks

Thanks for the thread.
I did find a small help link after my post on the stat page tucked up in the right corner that looks like will help.
