Default making PT+PokerAce Portable

Any way to do this? Would I be able to somehow install PT onto, say, a portable USB drive and keep my database on it? I can install PA HUD anywhere because I just have to use my reg key but PT uses a different key for each installation I beleive.

I am asking this because I couch-surf a LOT, and play poker a lot too. I think being PT/PA HUD-free a lot of the time I play is thinning my wallet and slowing my development as a player.

PT allows two installs if I am not mistaken. Therefore, install onto the machines at each location.

Use a portable drive to hold the database. Think into the future about the size of the USB drive that you will need.

The way the PA Hud registration works means that you once you use PA Hud on the third computer, you can no longer go back and use it on the first computer.

If you have a laptop computer, just install and register PA Hud and PT on it.

Will PT run portable? Ie- Does it need the registry to run? If it'll run right out of a directory, then you should be fine if you use an access database. (I'm pretty sure there's no way to get postgres to run portable). You might want to use an ipod or an external hard drive though..

How does running off of a USB drive affect performance? This could really suck if you've got PT reading/writing to a USB drive all the time and it degrades your system performance.

i have no idea if this is true or not but with USB2 I would think the solid state drive would be faster than a hard drive.

I stay at more than two different houses, and I don't own a laptop. I regularly play poker on at least 6 different computers in different locations.
