Default PLO100: J-high FD+GSSD is garbage?

5-handed, $0.50/$1.00 PLO.

Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I don't have stats on villains but they are mostly donks I think. BTN has $205, hero covers.

UTG folds, Hero pots, BTN calls, SB folds, super-loose BB calls.

Flop 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($11)

BB checks, hero bets $8, BTN raises to $35, hero...?

Now, I've got J-high FD+GSSD and in NLHE there would be times I'd felt this even 100BB deep.

How shallow should I be to felt this in PLO?

I figured 200BB is too deep; called the flop and check-folded a blank turn to a pot sized bet.

Should I just fold on the flop?

just fold to the flop raise, it is too hard to make the nuts. Getting it all in on the flop is a bad result for you however shallow you are: if you play at all it is only to call and try to own him on subsequent streets.

Thanks, RoundTower. I think I need to make a big sign or something which says something like "They also got 4 cards, stop overplaying your hands"...

This hand is garbage, fold pre-flop.

Unless the button is a calling station and will call any raise, 5-handed in the CO, it really isn't a big deal to play this, as long as you come in with the raise so you can take it down with a C-bet against one or both of the blinds.

OP: Just like roundtower said, it's too hard to make the nuts with this hand. You have to ignore your NL tendencies and remember one of the primary rules of omaha: draw to the nuts.

i dont think opening from the cutoff is bad with this hand, especially if you have been quiet a few hands

as played i check the flop, as betting here on this draw heavy board you are very rarely getting 2 folds, but you would quite like to see a cheap turn to see how the hand develops. once you get repotted you fold
