Default Fish Oil

I have just read that some fish oils have been refined so that they are contamination free. Can anyone recommend a fish oil that is mercury/contamination free? Have if you used it and if so what changes have you seen?

Carlsons is pretty popular...I prefer Biotest's flameout. No noticeable changes.

isn't fish oil high in vitamin a and d?

quick google maybe cod liver oil is high in a/d and regular fish oiil isn't.

is cod liver oil recommended over reg fish oil?

i realize poster meant omega x distributrions in the oils, but that is obvious i guess.

flax seed oil contains an omega 3 fatty acid. fish oil contains an omega 3 fatty acid, but its not actually essential. Our bodies can make the fish oil fat using the omega 3's from flax seed, but we do a very poor job of it.

fish oil doesn't have vitamin D. Some recommend that you take vitamin E along with it though, because fish oil gives off a lot of free radicals which are bad for you, and vitamin E is an antioxidant.

cod liver oil is the one with vitamin a and d.
