Default (78) another dumb bubble sitting out guy thingy

Shorty is sitting out and has been for a long time. Biggie has been giving me walks during this time, while minraising sometimes and even folding his button letting me have the blind. He's otherwise pretty bad (obviously).

I know that if I shove this it is +EV (to the tune of +1.0ish)...should I risk it?

Thats a tough spot you certainly want to gain some chips but at the same time you don't wan't the BB to call you. IMO I think the best move to make is to just push all in. The only hands you are really afraid of is AA or KK. More than likely I don't see BB calling if you push.

I think you need to fold here. You are guaranteed 2nd, and making 1st is going to take some luck either way.

Racing here would be disasterous for hero. QJs wouldn't be much better.

That is true but why would the Big Stack take a gamble on a race?

Because he has the big stack and if he wins game over? I'm calling any PP there out of sheer principle, especially if I've been being nice.

No point in shoving here at all. We are afraid of a whole range of hands here. Get a 60/40 here really sucks..

I sigh and fold. ICM calculator can't take into account that shorty is dead, and therefore it's giving you a $EVFold that's less than it should be.

Alright I revoke my statement. I see I have also learned from this thread and will not push that hand :-s with the chip stacks looking like that.

It's because shorty is sitting out and you're guaranteed that he's not going to double up and threaten your 2nd place finish. So you really don't want to do anything risky.

Otherwise easy shove. Possibly limp if BB seems cooperative and not into owning at all.
