Do these pay out interest like a bank account or is it just as though you owned the currency in a no-interest savings account?

It's a fund made up of a variety of different stocks and the fund performs as the sum of it's parts.

everbank.com will allow you to open forigen currency CDs. Rates are dependent on which currency.

everbank is FDIC insured.

Why not hold equities in the currency you want?

That's what I do.

tdameritrade list the yield (TTM) of FXB CurrencyShares British Pound Sterling Trust as 4.13%.

Does anyone know if this is like a dividend or is this interest paid to you like like a money market account. Is owning FXB like simply owning pounds sterling, or do you receive interest on your holding like a money market account?

so the dividend is going to be taxed as short term income, and then if you sell FXB and make a profit, you are also going to be taxed on it? sooo.... is it better to go with everbank or FXB?

I meant buy, for example, a European index fund from a European fund company. Obviously the fund is denominated in EUR and will earn more long-term than a EUR savings account equivalent.
