Default heatsink/fan

I ordered the Core2Duo 6750 for my new PC, but didn't get a 3rd party heatsink/fan. I plan to just use the one that comes in the box. I am not going to overclock it or anything. Will this be OK?

It will work fine. The only issue is that it may be loud. If you don't care about noise then just install the stock one and forget about it. I like to have a nearly silent pc so I did a bit of research and installed an aftermarket unit that is much much quieter than the stock fan.

Intel wouldn't put the fan in if it didn't work on the processor - well, I hope they wouldn't........
