getting fulltilt to concect to internet via proxy server

hello... i am on my internet connection at my school at you have to connect through a proxy server with the port 3218. Is there anyway i can get programs like AIM, MSN, FullTilt etc to connect? Btw i am on a mac but i have windows XP installed on it as well. thank you for any help or comments.

do they not allow these programs to connect normally? Is FTP the only problem or can you not get AIM to connect?
