Default Need to compare large LCD TVs

Hi guys, not sure if this is the best place for this thread but here ya go.

I am trying to find some really solid, in depth reviews of newer 46'-ish 1080p Lcds. I already have a Sharp 46' inch lcd 780, and I will be returning it to costco very soon.

I am trying to compare the 2 1080p tvs they have but just can't find much good info. Thanks.

Sony Bravia 46" LCD
Full 1080P HDTV
$2,749.99
Bravia

Sharp 46" LCD
Full HDTV 1080P
$2,299.99
Sharp

Bravias are very nice and have a good track record. Those 2 are almost identical in features and inputs. The response time is not listed for the Sharp, but it does say it has a higher contrast ratio which is a plus. However, I would still lean towards the Sony. That's a lot of money for a 42''. Is that the largest size you can have? If not you can get a much bigger screen for the same pric eon sale.

Don't know if this is helpful or not, but have you compared 1080p lcd to 1080i plasma? I have a 42" Westinghouse 1080p lcd and a 50" 1080i panasonic plasma, and I would rather watch the plasma every single time. I've compared some xbox 360 games (my only 1080p source) on each of them with their respective resolutions, and I still think the plasma looks better. They've both been tuned with the digital video essentials test dvd. I just cringe at seeing 42" lcds priced that high, I have to think you go bigger and better for the same money. GL with everything.
