Tex\'s picks
I've started working on a new system for MLB betting and I want to start posting picks here. I was out of town this weekend, so I didn't get to look at the games, but I have one pick for tonight.
Cleveland -131 |

Re: Tex\'s picks
How did you bet 2 units and win 2.29?

How did you bet 2 units and win 2.29? [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for pointing that out. I accidentally entered 3 units into my tracking spreadsheet. My record should be 1-0, 1.53 units. By the way, how do I go back and edit the post? I can't find the edit button on the screen. |

Re: Tex\'s picks
When betting on a favorite, a 2 unit play should be "to win" and on a dog it would be 2 units risked.

You can only edit a post something like 30 min after you first make it.

When betting on a favorite, a 2 unit play should be "to win" and on a dog it would be 2 units risked. [/ QUOTE ] Why is that? I'm genuinely asking, because I had always thought it was more a matter of personal preference. |

Re: Tex\'s picks
Yes, it's a matter of personal preference but there are mathematical reasons that allow you to bet more on favorites with the same edge.
