Default 3/6 Deepish set against Ebolivia

We haven't played any big pots that I remember of. He's obviously a station and will call down with a big variety of hands, but I haven't played with him enough to know if he will bluff-push my weak riverbet here. He should know that I'm NOT capable of making big laydowns. I make stupid calls all the time, but I don't know if he has noticed this.

I should have made a bigger bet on the river to make my decision easier.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

SB ($193.35)

I dont think he's a station from what I remember from playing him. I'd bet close to the pot on the river.

I dont think he flopped a set, you'd hear about that on the turn. I really think you see 9T here about 75% of the time. I think it's a fold. If he's making a play on you what did he havee before? I feel like AQ would just rather call down here, QJ probably raises you earlier too. Maybe he's bluffing you with a busted flush draw but I dont think it happens enough to make the call profitable

if you pot the flop, and pot the turn you can be pretty certian that only one combination of cards beat you on the river, 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (unless villan is donkey enough to chase a 2 outer)...

However, I don't know villan, and what a push means from him... Against some villans, this is a fold, but if villan has any floating tendancies, its probably a call.

I'd say this is a call, and i'd be willing to bet that villan had missed draw or a lower set.

Next time, make him pay more to draw...

edit: after re-reading your post, i think a better river might be a bet pot/fold or c/c anybet ( definatly c/c if villan likes to push a missed draw )

"grossly less" is a bit of a stretch. I hate my riverbet much more than my turnbet.

Anyway, I folded and almost threw my laptop out of the window when he showed me 98 spades.

But yea, against him it's probably a call. Should have bet more on turn and river. Thanks for your comments.

Ya you're right, it's quite a stretch. But play with this guy a bit more and you'll see how betting big with big hands kicks ass. He pays off so much.
