AT in a six handed 10/25 game on PS
Okay this is my first hand post, so I hope everything shows up okay. I'd been playing at this table and the villain was one of the fishiest players I've had the pleasure of playing with (paying pot size bets to draw to gutshot straights and raising huge PF with 33, ect). He got a big stack after rebuying twice and winning a huge pot when his AQ outdrew a solid player with KK on a Q high flop.
This hand happened and he took me for about five bucks. I'm wondering if I played it wrong. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com Button ($7.85) SB =#A500AF(Villian)/ ($27) BB ($24.25) UTG ($14.35) MP ($10.20) Hero ($22.80) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds</font>, Hero raises to $1</font>, 1 fold</font>, SB =#A500AF(Villian)/ calls $0.90, 1 fold</font>. Flop: ($2.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)</font> Villian checks, Hero bets $1.5</font>, Villian calls $1.50. Turn: ($5.25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font> Villian checks, Hero checks. River: ($5.25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)</font> Villian bets $3</font>, Hero calls $3. Final Pot: $11.25 On the flop I thought I'd just bet out and take the pot down right there. When he called I put him on A-trash. When he checked the river after me I got nervous cause he is normally betting non stop. I didn't know what to make of the large river bet so I called. |

Bet again on this turn, you charge a flush draw and get value from a weaker ace.
As played, call river |

Re: AT in a six handed 10/25 game on PS
Your post makes me think that you are thinking in terms of pure bet size, and not in relation to the size of the pot.
A $3 bet at a 25NL or 10Nl table is a big bet, but not into a $5 pot...it's only 3/5 of the whole pot or 60%....not big at all. There's a flush draw on the board..i'd bet at least $3 or $4 on the turn too. If he raises me I consider folding because my kicker is pretty awful....if he just calls my turn bet, I check behind on the river for the free showdown. |

Re: AT in a six handed 10/25 game on PS
Well, one of the possible holdings I had him on was A5 or A2, which gives him two pair until the river. I was very surprised by him just calling. This guy likes to bet anything. I thought the river bet was a bluff after his pair got lost when the board paired up.
This guy really likes to play any two cards alot of times and I expected him to play AK, AQ, or AJ like he would AA or KK preflop. I think he thought he was slowplaying a monster. He bets out raising 3-4 times the BB with 44 and 66. Question: How do you guys adjust your own play for players like that. |

Bet the turn, and value bet the river if you think he'll call with a hand you beat. As played call the river.

Re: AT in a six handed 10/25 game on PS
Like around 3 dollars? (60% of the pot)
I was scared of a check raise if he had 2 pair. I guess I shouldve bet that and folded to a check raise? |

Re: AT in a six handed 10/25 game on PS
I'd bet $4 on the turn. There are still two flush draws out there and someone could be chasing down a gutshot with something like A3.
