Me and some buds stole a pole-vault pit from a high school about a quarter-mile from our house. This thing was 8 x 4 x 3 and weighed god knows how much. It took 6 of us, getting over a fence, a busy street, and into our house where we proceeded to do back flips and stuff from our 2nd story loft. Good times.

RA's are generally pushovers. I built a 3-man slingshot and recruited my roomates to server as posts and a target for lobbing golf ball sized water balloons from the 7th floor into the parking lot a block away. After getting busted by the head RA, we all got hilarious letters asking us to please show up for a diciplinary hearing. Since they asked so nicely, two of us actually showed up to see how pathetic the scene would be. The only question I had for them was what would happen if I didn't write the two-page paper on the possible damage of a terminal velocity water balloon to the roof of a parked car they had so nicely requested. After hearing the answer was "we'll refer your case to [some campus student dicipline organization I've never heard of]," I told them I'd "get right on that."

As long as you're comfortable with getting kicked out of your place, throw the damn party. The worst that will happen is the RA will call the campus cops after you refuse to stop the party and you'll get kicked out of the place. Just make sure there's no traceable source of alcohol to underage people.

yea you don't want to get charge with serving to minors. my friends got busted two years ago in our dorm and one of them ended up paying 1.5k for lawyers to make sure the charge didn't get put on his record. But he may have just been a huge legal fish since my other buddy and his roommate just had to write some paper and never had to go to court lolz.

At our dorms you could get expelled from school if you got kicked out of the dorms. Freshman weren't allowed to live off campus. So if you got kicked out of one dorm you basically had to beg another to let you in. If you did something really bad, or were kicked out of 2 dorms, you were hosed. So that added some extra excitement to it.

I nabbed one once. Getting it back to our apartment was a huge bitch. By the time we got around to drinking it 2 nights later it was SKUNKED. That was the foulest tasting beer I have ever had.

thats the only thing im really worried about, my roommates and i are all 21 or 20 (the 2 of us actually throwing the party are 21), but there will definitely be under aged people here

Big parties on school property are not a great idea. I was lucky to live in a dorm where the RAs and campus security were pretty lax so we could get away with have 10-12 people over but even then the noise got pretty loud and on a few occasions the campus security on duty told us to get out or he'd write us up if we weren't gone when he came back.

Its not a dorm, its an apartment building, but its technically on campus

also, i spent a year in Israel before college so I'm old

and fwiw, i think this may be our last year (or atleast some of us) in the apartment, HOUSE BABY!
