Well lets put it this way. I've watched every snap of a USC football game for the last 4 seasons. I've seen true number 1 teams, I've seen this team. We are not #1. I watched oregon-cal last week and saw 2 teams better than USC currently.

Everyone is a moron but you, likely scenario. Why are you so against being called out for a huge chokejob? you guys choke against a [censored] team every yr lately. You are complaining about injuries when you have the most stacked team int the country. I hate USC, with a passion, but they have a very very very good team, but they always, ALWAYS take bad teams in the pac-10 for granted. It happens every yr, sometimes you escape, sometimes you don't, but you really don't have any excuses.

Look it is a huge chokejob and it is a terrible loss. My basic point is you can't use the #1 rating or 40 point spread as arguments as to why the upset is so massive because they are both caused by the same media hype, and have nothing to do with the actual football team.

USC will lose more games this season because they aren't that good. My basic goal is to protect actual #1 rated teams from USC in the past that were good, because this team is not those past teams and didn't deserve this rating.

Well if you don't use rankings or point spreads then all we have to go by is the flawed thinking of homer fans trying to defend their team's losses with useless excuses. I think i'll take the point spreads side, since they are done by people whose job is protecting an industry worth hundreds of millions.

You can't just throw the rankings and point spreads out, because if you do that you have nothing to compare and contrast huge upsets like this.

I don't think the problem is with USC's talent, your defense is amazing (with or without Cushing), the problem is YOU BLOW EASY GAMES VS BAD PAC-10 TEAMS.
