Need A Special DVD Player

Hey guys,

I need a DVD player that I can plug my external hard drive into that will play the video files that I have of TV shows, movies etc... in mpg and avi files etc...

Anyone know of one that does it or do I need to routeit through a computer still?

i have some phillips dvd player that i bought for $80 at circuit city. it plays avi's and mpgs off of data dvds, and also has a usb port. i've never tried it, but my friend has the same one and says it works.
