It's okay, but checking might be better.

The choice between betting and checking depends on the betting vs. calling vs. checking range you think MP3 has on the turn plus the hand ranges of both players after they peel on the dry flop.

I know the question is primarily about the Turn, but what about folding PF? Aren't we primarily looking for a flush and a family pot here? That too weak-tight of me?

It depends on the looseness of the table and the table image JJack has. If he's pretty card-dead, a steal (as he appropiatly called it) from MP with A8s is good. I open-raise about a third of the time here (if my VPIP for the session is &lt; 13ish). However the villains that still have to act after JJack are very loose and the stats of BB are typical of calling stations, so then it becomes close and JJack just has to be aware that he will have to outplay villains postflop a lot.

I fold pf, but if i was to play it, i'd go with a raise.
The turn, i just check it. The flop's pretty ragged and both of them call so i put at least one of the on some kind of a hand and he's probably not folding on the turn either.

As played, flop c-bet is good. On the turn, I'd just take the free card.

I like the turn bet. You often have the best hand against these clowns and if not you have a big draw and aren't often getting check/raised. You might even have some folding equity against better ace highs.

Take your free card on the turn. if he bets fold, that damn stats are no good. But i think he got J low kicker, he is a real passive winner hate those. he call everything down even his trips..

It's not exactly a free card on the turn, there's still a player left to act, and his stats *could* indicate that he might bet in a situation where everyone shows weakness, in an attempt to take down the pot...
AF 1.38 isn't exactly passive, especially not if he plays 42% of his hands...


I'm leaving the fold/raise preflop debate open, but given the looseness of some of the players yet to act, would an open-limp be that bad?

OP basically completely missed the flop. Would a c/f be that bad a play there?
