Default \"Prove It\" by Frank Harber

Has anybody read (or listened to the audio version) of "Prove It" by Frank Harber? It's an arguement (by a former athiest) for the existance of God based on science, history, archaeology, etc.

I listened to the audio version, and I think it's worth checking out.

Ugh. You have to buy it for $35.

From the Christian Worldwide Network.com:

I'm not going to go out of my way to listen to some theologian tell me how science proves anything.

I don't know of too many books/CDs that you don't have to pay for.

Also, as a former atheist, I'm pretty sure he got his theological degree after he set out to disprove the existance of God.

Sorry, misread your post. I didn't realize you were talking about a book. I thought it was something like a lecture (I skipped the word "read").

As for the theology degree, I don't know what his science background is, but all I can find is that the has a PhD in theology. If that's the extent of his credentials I'll take a pass.

yeah, for $35 I'm passing on this one unless I get a bunch of christians recommending it...at least then I can guess that it has some value.

of course..christians always recommend Lee Strobel's books to me...and they're ridiculous...so I still won't get my hopes up.

I know of about 20,000. And, if this guy wanted to win souls to Jesus by proving God exists, wouldn't he want to spread the message to as many people as possible by making his message free & accessible to anyone that wants to hear? Can you imagine what the Church would be like today if Paul & Peter had charged 35 denarii to read their writings or listen to their message? Christians make a lot of money off preaching to the choir -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

P.S. Has anyone notified Lee Strobel that someone copied his shtick?

I hate to tell you but there is massive amounts of free information about Christ on the net. Google is your friend.
