Is it really possible that Manu starts?

are you assuming who will get voted in, or who you think is the best available?

By votes, starters will probably look like this:

West:
Yao
Duncan
Melo
Nash (or T-Mac due to the Chinese vote)
Kobe

East:
Dwight
KG
Lebron
Arenas
Kidd (or I guess Wade maybe?)

By talent I'd say:
West:
Yao
Duncan
Marion
Kobe
Nash

East:
Dwight
KG
Lebron
Wade
Kidd

I'll think about the benches later. Most guys will be obvious: Bosh, Pierce, Paul, Deron, Boozer, Parker, etc.

I was going purely by votes. Although Nash's popularity keeps growing, I don't think he will start if Tmac is a 2 this year because of Chinese vote like you said, I wonder if YI is going to start.

Shaq most likely gets the start in the east. Dwight gets slighted because KG is now in the East. It really doesn't matter, but this voting is ridiculous. Yi definitely makes the all star game and possibly starts as well

Dwight's a center. KG is a 4. You're right though.. Shaq probably still gets the vote, but I don't think it'll be a landslide. It'll be hard to ignore how much he's fallen off and how amazing Howard is.

I forgot about Yi. That'd be funny.

I know KG is a 4, but if he was still in the west I assume Shaq and Dwight would start because realistically, who in the East would get voted ahead there? It just seems that most people don't realize or care how much he's fallen off. He only played 40 games last year, missing most of them before the All-star game. He averaged ~17 points per, and is only a few points behind that now at 15, so he probably gets voted in on personality again.

fans are so [censored] stupid. really bothers me they have a say in all of this. they should elect like the "13th man" where there are 5 possibilities for the last spot and fans chose it, rather then the starters. having people (in the past) like shaq, grant hill, someone like yi (maybe this year) etc. making it is just terrible
