Default 50nl, I has a set! sigh i suck?

I'd like comments on both the flop and turn please

BB is 43 / 25 / 1.4 (58 hands)
No reads on the CO

I RARELY check behind this flop, but vs a spastic and a seemingly average player i figured it couldn't hurt on a VERY dry flop.

Party Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

BB: $46.07
Hero (UTG): $65.86
CO: $41.69
BTN: $49.25
SB: $53.77

Pre-Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $2</font>, CO calls $2, 2 folds, BB calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($6.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
<font color="red">BB bets $4.50</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $14</font>, CO calls $14, BB calls $9.50

River: ($48.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero???????????

Oh I missed that the flop was checked, thought that the only way the flush would have come is if someone called on a runner draw.

Hmmmm that makes it more difficult. I think I still bet though.

Define a reasonable bet, i wanted to block bet around 16 with the intention to call a shove by either

okay, obv not a blocking bet...but i figure if we're calling a decent sized bet we may aswell try get value from 2 pairs and such

I'd bet $24 here. I hate the flop check by the way.

Don't check flop, they're gonna call. As played, turn is fine. CO can have KQ, KTs or KJ. BB can have any of those as well as 77 or maybe like QT or diamonds. Once BB checks, I don't think CO has a draw because of his cold-call. I don't mind a shove at all.

There's only $30 effective left. If they call $24 they're probably calling $30 right?

I don't see why the flop chekc is that bad, no turn cards really hurt us:

Party Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

BB: $46.07
Hero (UTG): $65.86
CO: $41.69
BTN: $49.25
SB: $53.77

Pre-Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $2</font>, CO calls $2, 2 folds, BB calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($6.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
<font color="red">BB bets $4.50</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $14</font>, CO calls $14, BB calls $9.50

River: ($48.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $16</font>, <font color="red">CO raises to $25.69 and is All-In</font>, BB calls $25.69, Hero calls $9.69

Results: $125.32 Pot ($2 Rake)
BB mucked K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$41.69 NET)
Hero showed 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (three of a kind, Fives) and WON $123.32 (+$81.63 NET)
CO mucked 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$41.69 NET)
