Default 50nl, TPTK line check in 4 way pot

Villian is 60/20/15

Looking back, i think i should've raised his donk bet to more, however with 2 guys behind me left to act i wasn't 100% on the sizing

UTG calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero raises to $3, SB calls $2.75, BB calls $2.50, UTG calls $2.50, CO folds

Flop: ($12.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $4.50, Hero raises to $14, 2 folds, UTG calls $9.50

Turn: ($40.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG bets $10.50, Hero raises to $32.25 and is All-In

Sorry if this is completely standard, just im not used to play like this having come from stars and i need to adjust

edit: i guess my main questions are, how much do you raise on the flop? (if at all) and are you ever flatting the turn and hoping for a push on the river, because there really aren't any cards that hurt us

I'd raise the donk to a little less than pot, maybe to 22.

After that, we are committed on any turn card.

I play it pretty much the same.

Looking at it now, im not so sure the turn shove is the best play, if he has us the money is going in no matter what the river is, but if we are ahead he has very few outs and may possibly shove river thinking the spades scare us. I wasn't thinking along those lines during the hand

Yes, the way you played it b/c this guy's aggression is 15 (lol how many hands is that over) and b/c you didn't raise it that much on the flop.

If you raise more on the flop, you can't really flat a turn bet b/c you don't have enough money behind.

Yeah I think calling the turn is a better line here since you're in position, unless you think a 5 is a big part of his range and he's folding to your shove, which I don't think is the case.

Seriously those stats and 50NL on stars - he's on air here a lot of the time in my experience - even after calling your flop raise and leading the turn. Calling maximizes your winnings when he's bluffing by allowing him to bluff the river and makes up for the times that you are beat. Also if he's holding on to a marginal hand you can squeeze a little more value out on the river if he checks to you.

In summary if you're not folding here when he has a flush, make up for it by getting the max value out of him when he has air or something else you beat.
