Default Optimal?

Is this a good way to give shortstackers a taste of their own medicine? Optimal play?

I don't think so. With AT or so, sure. But with a hand this strong, I want action. I'd bet 3xBB, hoping they come over the top, so I can fist pump call.

Primo, seems like this line makes it really easy for them to play close to perfectly?

You assume they are competent and will play perfectly.

I was halfway through asking if they were the competent type of shortstackers or not but I removed it for some reason.

However, I'm not assuming that they'll play perfectly, I'm saying that this line makes it easier for them to play perfectly than just raising normally.

You're pushing a point across, but you're giving them way too much chance to do what they want - which is getting their shortstack AI preflop with a premium hand. Seems like these stack sizes will call with everything that beats AQo, but nothing that it crushes. Once in awhile JJ/TT, but that's it. As a general guide, I'd make a normal raise and try and get action with this big a hand folded to you on the BTN.

did you look at the stack sizes in the blinds?

I would do this if they had dwindled down to like $150ish but w/ them at 200 just 3X it IMO.
