Default I know you aren\'t supposed to do this but...

I just folded KK. Playing 6max. Button vs blind! I can't remember the last time I ever did this in my life. Below is either my stroke of genius or complete travesty.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $3/$6 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $649.10
BB: $489.75
UTG: $245.60
MP: $231.30
CO: $842.75
Hero (BTN): $1,214.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $24.00</font>, SB folds, <font color="red">BB raises to $42.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $140.00</font>, <font color="red">BB raises to $288.00</font>, Hero folds

Pot Size: $431.00

Hero was 28/11 over 100 hands with a fold BB to steal of 100%. I know small sample size, but, he thought like 3 seconds before 5betting almost the minimum. My gut told me something was wrong and I actually folded fairly quickly..(5-10 seconds) Thoughts?

THEN...about 10 minutes later, I completely butcher what should be the simplest KK laydown ever at the same table! I was kind of tilted at the moment over something else so I autoshoved, but as soon as I did, and was shown AA, I realized what a huge moron I was. This fold is truly trivial, yes?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $3/$6 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $1,086.40
BB: $609.00
UTG: $550.80
MP: $437.65
CO: $283.70
BTN: $724.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $21.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $68.00</font>, <font color="red">BB raises to $180.00</font>, BTN folds, <font color="red">Hero raises all-in to $1,086.40</font>, BB calls all-in for $429.00
Uncalled bet of $477.40 returned to Hero

Flop: ($1239) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Turn: ($1239) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

River: ($1239) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Pot Size: $1,239.00 ($3 Rake)

Villain is some 12/8ish waste of space that infested all of my tables this morning. What 12/8 4bets without KK+?

if i were going to shove one of these and fold one i would have reversed them. not much else to add though, 2nd one folding is fine i think 1st one its prob really close but he pretty much has to have AA and only AA 100% of the time to fold it i think

Why'd you delete your post MDMA? The sample size was a couple K hands...but I honestly don't remember his 4betting tendencies..or lack thereof

I think both would have been fine folds, although I personally never am able to do the first one.

Hand 1: Villain has less than 100bb, stack off with fist pump and high five anyone in sight.

Hand 2: You're a bit deeper here so a fold becomes far more possible.

Either way a KK fold pf is an opponent specific decision so I don't see why you would post it.

I'll rephrase, I don't think folding KK for less than 100bb, especially given the money that is already in the pot is a good idea vs players you have limited history with. Folding hand 2 is fine. Your stacks are deeper and your opponent is tighter.
