Default strangely played hand vs daut44

my stats on him (most from a long time ago) are 18.6/14.0/2.34 over 7700 hands. i used to talk with him a lot about poker but not so much anymore so i'm not sure how good he is, but fromw hat i've seen of him at the tables he's really easy to play against and basically never gets out of line, though he is fairly capable of handreading.

given that, i was absolutely sure that he had a big hand on the turn. MBOE is 26.4/11.3/2.54 and seems like a very uninteresting type of straightforward player. i didn't want to raise the flop because i figured if i got it all in here i'd be behind like always, either to a dominating draw or twopair+, and if somebody had an underflush draw i had the chance of stacking them. bad rationale?

i would checkraise push the flop, i dont think he calls with just the nutflush draw and overs.

and despite the big draw, the only real money card is probably the j if you call.

I really liked how you played this. This seems like one of those spots where his value betting range>his calling shove range.

seems fine.

not sure about folding the river when the board pairs though. you just went check check check with a q high flush. yeah his turn bet 3 ways is scary but i think there's plenty you're ahead of.

Yeah nice line always works out it seems to check the river without a flush hand, did this time he have a weaker flush I hope?
