Re: AKo 3 bets PF, who hit nothing (again)
[ QUOTE ]
Vs an unknown I muck but its prolly close as you very often have 6 outs [/ QUOTE ] sorry you meant the turn, I misread. |

If he has 6 outs it has more value to have him bet the turn again than to raise and take the free card. Also, I think that most here generally overestimate how often this is a bluff. |

Re: AKo 3 bets PF, who hit nothing (again)
If we have 6 outs it's better that we get a free river. I don't know, I seem to vary this: I usually just call, then sometimes call turn as well, sometimes raise it, but I also at times raise the flop, then sometimes b/f turn and sometimes check it behind and call any river, or with horrible boards still fold the river UI as well. It depends a bit on the specific board. As it is so dry here I suppose it may be better to just call the flop.

call flop, fold turn. He has at least a pair and you have A-high.

[ QUOTE ]
one spot where a flop raise would be ok is if it would let you limit the field in a big pot [/ QUOTE ] just wanted to say that this is rlly bad advice when you're drawing with AK yourself there's no value in raising a big field at all bc you're not cleaning up any outs, this is basic strategy as played, I'd call a flop bet and fold turn UI against an unknown |

*grunch*
Raising the flop is not necessary, and if you have 6 outs why not take a free card on the turn? |
