Default Re: Beau Rivage question

i have played all my hours at the ip. i have visited the beau and the room looks awesome but having 1-2 uncapped is not a good thing for the game. i have heard from several people that some sit down with several thousand and open for huge raises. in fact someone told me on opening day some guy bought into a 1-2 game for 8000. now i know that a possible solution to this if you buy in normal is to wait for the best hands but then thats not poker. im averaging 16.47 a hour at the ip and that should actually be higher like around 20. a few good players that i know are averaging in the 23-25 range per hour. i think its a safer bet to play at the ip then the awesome beau. im gonna try out the isle of capri when i go next because i have have some good things about their room.

I played the Beau 1/2 nl on re-opening day post-Katrina. iirc, it was capped at $200 buyin. Yes, the room was awesome and the staff excellent. Even saw Bobby Baldwin there.
