Default Paradise finally moving

That dreaded day is here...or maybe not dreaded, if they keep the bonus clearing terms. Received this email today:

----------
Dear player,

This is a very important announcement about your ParadisePoker account.

From Thursday May 24th 2007, your poker account will change forever as ParadisePoker move to a new and improved software.

In 2004 Sportingbet PLC group purchased ParadisePoker and we are now merging all our players on to one improved poker standard: the NEW ParadisePoker. This means more players, more action and more ways for you to win!

Login any time from Thursday using your existing username and password and after a very short upgrade process you will be taken to the new Paradise Lobby. It is important to note that you will still be playing on new software so navigating the lobby and playing at the tables will be slightly different to what you are used to.

The new ParadisePoker will offer you enhanced graphics which are easier on the eye for those long sessions in front of your screen. We will also introduce a new chip transfer system offering more funding methods and easier management of your money.

Your new Sportingbet/ParadisePoker account will now also allow you to play in the NEW ParadiseCasino & Blackjack and place sports wagers through the award winning Sportingbet.com. Your existing account balance and bonuses will be transferred automatically.

The new ParadisePoker will offer you exclusive promotions such as Paradise RUSH where one player will win a shopping spree worth €100,000, The New World where one player will walk away with the $100,000 first prize, Monday Night Takedown (the biggest bounty tournament on the net) and WSOP Last Chance.

Click on the link for instructions on the upgrade.

We will be in touch again in the next few days but in the meantime if you have any questions regarding this upgrade please contact customer services by emailing support@paradisepoker.com.

Best Regards,
ParadisePoker
A Sportingbet brand.

According to the email I received from SportingOdds, Paradise Poker will be joining the International Poker Network (Boss Media).

If the yahoo poker site gets rolling as well, IPN could make a big move up the rankings at PokerSiteScout (currently #11).

Sorry, thought that was commonly know. Indeed, Boss will be their new home.

Kosmos, very true...and that could be a lot of fish on one site!

Well, we're at least going to get a $50 bonus at the old terms, that's on their site. Hopefully we'll get lucky and they'll transfer existing bonus over too!

Boss Network - their "award winning software" has awful gaudy graphics and intrusive annoying sounds. Modding them freezes the tables...???

I have accounts on both - this could be interesting.

Paradise - $100 uncleared bonus and 25k points.
Boss - 30% rb and uncleared sign-up bonus.

Haven't heard if I have to close one or the other yet.

Edit: here's a weird one - when I play Boss AND Party my PARTY buttons disappear...

Just did the software download, transferred everything OK...except it shorted me 4 cents on the money transfer...WTF? LOL.

All of my useless Paradise Points are now FPPs, my $750 in pending bonus is there too. I'm not sure what I need to do to get that $50 bonus that was showing up on the site yesterday, I don't see it now.

Most importantly, I don't know how the bonus clears yet. The only place I see any real good bonus information is under the support tab in the software, there is a button for bonus information. It shows me with no bonus there, even though it shows $750 in the lobby. However, it also says it updates every 2 hours, so maybe I just need to give it some time.

If anyone gets any info on bonus clearance, let us know!

$5.00 cleared for 100 fpp's earned. remember old paradise was $10.00 for the same. and from their site:

"In cash games, you will earn 1 point for every $0.25 you rake. You only earn points by contributing to the pot.

For both Single Table tournaments and Multi Table Tournaments such as Monday Night Takedown or Best of British, 4 points will be earned for every $1 in tournament fee."

And new players have 180 days to clear bonuses. Hope I'm not considered a new player because I still need to build my roll a bit before moving up to a limit where i can actually clear the bonus.
