Default 1K6m. overfull on double paired river play.

ok, just started the session, villain had a TAGgy SN, dont recognize him but im not a regular in this game.

i(1K) open QJo in MP, button calls, blinds fold.

flop Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
i check, check.

turn Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
i check, bet 65, call.

river A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
i check, bet 175... play?

900 total to start the river action, remember if u like a raise then the amt u raise would be nice and whether u call a push is prob the most important thing.

I do not see much value in a river rasie. It looks to me as if he has a Q, possibly AQ or you induced him to try to push you off your hand. I think I would have bet called the river though it seems an ace or a air would be happy to take the free showdown now.

Fix the post up flawless.

What is opponents stack?
IS this 5/10 blinds?
Is your "open" a raise or call?
What is the pot at on each street?

Why did you play this so passively? YOu flopped top 2 and I can reasonably assume you are ahead of most of his range. You turn a boat which again furthers your WA/WB status. And you still check thropugh all these streets and just call? On the riveer you are worried about calling a push if you raise? I am truly lost.

So only 77 and AA beats you. Barring no amazing reads, this is an easy call.

How much does he have left at the start of the river?

Depending on that would depend on how much I bet. I would bet half his stack or little less than 2/3 the pot, which ever is less. I would call a river push here chances are you are splitting the pot unless he has Quads or A's full. Neither of which seem likely and you are most likely ahead. May have something like A7 for bottom full.

Know you are good player flawless almost seems a trivial post by you.

The way you played this hand he could be trying to push you off of your hand. I think because you checked it the whole way down you have to pay off AA, 77, or AQ. No way would I raise though, since once you see him go all in you will want to throw up

5/10 b;linds, thats why it says 1K nl in title.
i raised to 35 which is a standard "open". if i had limped or raised to 50 or some else weird i wouldve been specific.
pot on turn is 85.
pot on river is 215, i will edit if possible.
yo mods, edit in the pot size if u see this, thx.

good post but im not sure how often an ace will check behind (esp w/ a good kicker)... i think an ace prob value bets which is easily the correct play.
