BUGS!!

Our place has recently been crawling with bugs - roaches, spiders, centipedes, and the like. I know a lot of people do pest control at home with the liquid stuff you spray around your baseboards. One catch is that I have a cat, so it has to be pet-safe. Do you have experience with this stuff? If so, what do you recommend and where can you buy it? I did a cursory google search but didn't find anything too helpful.

the other bugs would freak me out, but I'd deal...but COCKROACHES?!?!?!?!?!? How about move?! I'd get a pest control person to come in, bomb the [censored] out of that place. Go through everything in your house and get rid of dead bugs and buy traps and put them behind the stove and fridge etc...

I could not live like that.

Doesn't matter what you do to roaches, they'll be back.

The best thing is RAID Gel, use it like caulk to seal up every crack and crevice in the entire apartment. Then remove everything from the apartment, bomb it, and carefully and thoroughly wipe down every surface when you return. Then reintroduce the cat. This should keep you about 3 months.

Where I live, it is notorious for cats, and roaches, the whole 6-7 block neighborhood, mainly becasue there are 2 restuarnats on every corner, and its one of the oldest parts of the city. I had a roach problem, would wake up, and see 1 or 2, I got orkin to come out and spray every quarter, and while I find a dead one once in awhile, I havent seen a live one since I had them come out, they may not be totally out of the building, but they arent in my living space.
