Re: river TP, do i have a VB? party 2k6m.
this is for sure a value bet - he might look you up with a queen, and if he doesn't he would have checked most queens behind anyway
anything stronger than you would have bet the turn on this board, in most cases |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Check-fold, the only hand you really beat is aq or maybe qj or q10 and he'll check those behind on the river. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty sure this is a bad way of thinking about things. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think check/fold is bad at all. Most of the good regulars will instacheck a Q or weaker if you check, and most of the time will not call a river bet with something weaker than a K. However, since it's a button steal situation, he's more likely to pay off with a Q and maybe even an underpair. I like 1/2- or 2/3-pot. |

The way the action in this hand was played you are winning against any holding he has, only hand you are losing to is Qs full or quad 8s.

How is he not losing to KQ? With position, I can definately see him calling that 3-bet preflop.

Re: river TP, do i have a VB? party 2k6m.
i feel like you should bet this river more often than not. hes got something but you dont know what. checking river wont help you and will make you more prone to call a bet and if hes aggro in the least you WILL be faced with that decision. if you bet and get raised i feel like you can throw this hand away more often than if you check and call. you certainly dont want to stack off with a rivered one pair here so keep it cheap and call it a block bet if you will.
