Default [NL200] AKo NFD in RR pot 3 ways oop, how is my line ?

UTG is a TAG (21/17/4[115h]), SB a fish...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($449)
SB ($103.80)
Hero ($200.80)
UTG ($372.40)
MP ($196.05)
CO ($203.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $7</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB calls $6, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $28</font>, UTG calls $21, SB calls $21.

Flop: ($84) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $60</font>, UTG calls $60, SB folds.

Turn: ($204) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $112.8 (All-In)</font>

So, I put him on TT+, and I think the K on the turn is a great card for me (and if he got a set or AA, I have my FD).

Flop : Must I open shove the flop ? Check-raise AI this flop ? Or is my C-Bet good ?

Turn : c/c ? CRAI ? check/check, open shove river ?

When UTG doesn't shove the flop, I don't know how to play these hands

I would check raise the flop allin. If called we will have decent equity most of the time. Sometimes he will take a stab with other high unpaired cards. Also, we don't really mind if it gets checked through. No worse hand is going to call your lead I think.

Check turn and shove river if it gets checked through.

Are you betting the turn for value? I can't imagine you fold out better/get called by worse?

Checking turn is really good, because you might get called light if you shove river. I would still call a push on the turn from UTG tho.

Nick, what do you like about the floplead in a 3 way pot OOP? You just hope to get raised so you can get it in? If you are not raised and you brick the turn, what is your plan?

With your huge preflop raise and two callers, I think an argument can be made for open-shoving.

The problem with you c-bet is, that even if the turn is a complete blank like the 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] you still have the NFD and two overs and with just 1/2 PSB left I think you're commited.

You could try to check/shove if you think TAG will bet. I doubt you will have much FE and since you're hand plays best with some FE I think you should take the line that maximizes FE.

As played I'd c/shove the turn. And open push the river. You don't need to bet the turn becuase there are so few scare cards. Betting here may well fold out TT-QQ, why do that when you can get value from those hands on the river.

I'm inclinded to check the flop two reasons for this. If UTG checks you get to see another card and it keeps the size of the pot down.

I'd certainly consider a CRAI on the flop as well, providing the SB folds. I can't see the villain folding a high pocket pair with a heart.

You've got good equity against all these possible calling hands.

Board: 8h 9h 5h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 44.419% 41.23% 03.19% 14694 1137.00 { AhKc }
Hand 1: 55.581% 52.39% 03.19% 18672 1137.00 { 88+, 55, AcKh, AdKh, AsKh }

I agree with CRAI this flop (if UTG check behind, we got a free draw), or open shove (QQ/KK/AA w/o heart can fold...).

Just C-Bet this flop is bad imo, if we brick the turn.

I lose vs AA, I think he have played it well.

On this turn I don't think you can play it that wrong.

I like your line though.

In my experience check/raising all in here has no FE against opponents like this.

how are we gonna c/shove the turn when the pot is $200 and we have 1/2 of that?

the pot is pretty big pre-flop so you really can't go wrong after that flop imo. a lot of hands that we're flipping w/ fold to a c-bet so its fine. shoving also folds those hands out and we ensure that we don't get in a sticky spot on the turn so its fine as well, maybe better. c/rai is also fine. see we can't go wrong! just don't fold.
