Re: Flopped nut flush
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry I spilled the beans too early on both hands I posted today. Next time I'll wait for traffic to die or someone ask. [/ QUOTE ] here is a better approach: and believe me, fellas, i'm a lot more tired of posting it than you are of seeing it. |

As played, I would raise the river and take my lumps (in this case). [/ QUOTE ] Agree. Monsters under the bed and all that.... |

Re: Flopped nut flush
well you misplayed earlier streets, but i'm ignoring them and just talking about the river.
raise call the river imo. when he 3-bets it is just more likely that he overplayed a bit on the turn than he is now overplaying very badly on the river when the board pairs. hopefully that makes sense. i still do put him mostly on a K-high flush. i'm just saying his reaction to our raise on a paired board after all this action tells us a ton. |

Re: Flopped nut flush
PF: I like 3 betting AQs instead of the CC; it's just to big a hand to treat like 98s.
Flop: Never miss an opportunity to raise here. Calling is just wrong. Turn: See "Flop" note above. Raise! What's the point of calling here? River: UTG has been playing the second nut flush, I don't think he filled here. If he flopped a set and is betting like this I'd definately make a note that he's either colorblind or overplays sets on monochrome boards where people have obviously made a flush. |
