Default 99 ck-raised on turn on drawy board

Vill seems decent (24/20/2.28), capable of making moves (for example, wait the turn to ck raise a FD and 2 overs) :

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises, MP 3-bets, 4 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, MP bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, MP bets, UTG raises, MP 3-bets, UTG calls.

River: (10.75 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, MP checks.

Results in white below:
UTG has Tc Qc (high card, king).
MP has 5d 9d (one pair, nines).
Outcome: MP wins 10.75 BB.

Here, the board is so drawy, so I must bet the turn to protect my hand, right ?
But I can't call a ck-raise ?

it's kind of close because there aren't too many strong draws he can have here. if he was in later position it would be a lot easier because then there are more [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hands and 9To becomes possible

I still call down though and take a note

just call down and take a note. can't see any good reason to 3-bet.

I think you have to call, he may have a J or an overpair or a set most of the time, but a fair amount if his likely hands are just a diamonds or an OESD. I call.

this is like the perfect type of read to use. the action was exactly the same in both hands, and you folded. strange.
