This is the kind of stuff I had wished Doyle would do more of. Thank you, Johnny, for these.

The Kennedy assassination as a mafia hit. Hmmm, there's been some speculation on this for the past 44 years. Could it be a message to his brother Bobby, then the Attorney General, to lay off? Why not just wack Bobby? What would be the motive for killing JFK? A contract with some outside entity? But who? The Russians had their own killers. Oswald was a convenient patsy to send up a false trail. Castro? The mob would want too much fom him, like reopening the Havana casinos. What would the mob want that some foreign interest could give? How about raw opium that they could make heroin from? Who has that?

johnny - you rock.

1. write book
2. get mason to publish book
3. ???
4. PROFIT

how has this not happened already? mason, time to branch out from the strategy books, this stuff is pure gold. someone needs to publish these stories while the old time gamblers are still around, you can't tell me there's no market for this.

Poor Tom

A prominant poster asked Mason about writing a book just like this a year and a bit ago, to which he replied that there was no market for such a book.

Thanks for the story Johnny, and keep them coming.

Johnny:

I join with others in this forum in saying you should get 2+2 to collect these stories and publish them. Add in some historical photos of the greats, maybe an intro from one of the surviving poker old guard, and you'd have a fine read.

I look forward to your stories. Please keep sharing, either here or in published form!

Johnny, I know that I say this in every thread, but you really should write a book.

Do you still live in Texas? If you ever come to Austin I would like to buy you dinner.

There is a very interesting book on the Marcello connection to the JFK assassination called Mafia Kingfish that I think you might enjoy.
