$650 WSOP Sat moved to Saturday permanently?

Anyone notice that there is now a $650 on Saturday AND Sunday.

Looks like they put the Sunday satellite back.

For all the bitching in this thread I would've thought there would be more celebration that Stars put back the Sunday satellite.

Ugh...two days is bad. Stars, Please pick one day per week, even if you alternate each week. There are just too many sats in general running now with a small amount of players in each. I loved that at least I could count on the one satellite on Sunday to have a big field. Please slice the number of $16's in half, double the amount of $80's, and keep the $650 to one day per week.

I don't think I like the dilution from 2 weekend tourneys. If the entries drops too far, it will become tougher. I like the idea of a 700 person field, because they're paying so many tables. If it drops too low, then each tourney will be filled with more sat experts and higher bankrolled players, as a % of field. I'll be watching the field size this weekend to see how this shakes out. I'm curious what the drop is for each tourney, and which one gets more overall entries.

It's obvious from just this thread that they can't make everyone happy...all the time. Some wanted more sats, so they added more sats...now some say there's too many and the runners are spread too thinly among them...$650 here...$650 there...etc. It'll all get sorted out I'm sure...but of course not everyone will be happy. But at least they're trying.

I agree that they are trying. Just voicing my opinion. I guess I just think one of the points of having a big super satellite is to give away alot of seats. As someone who spends alot more time with recreational players than I do here on 2p2, I can say that it is very attractive to people to see that there is a tournament every week that gives away 40 seats or whatever the number is. I have gotten many comments from people about the big Sunday qualifier "All you have to do is finish in the top 40." etc

I think having one weekly tourney that is viewed as the big weekly qualifier is a good thing.

I'm worried that it will drop to 25 seats or so per tournament. I know that I think it is easier to win a seat when they are giving away 40 seats than when they are giving away 4 (or 1!). I'm also hoping that they do that big final tourney where they added 100 seats to the last chance $650. I can't remember if it was a guarantee or pure overlay. Even if I have a seat, I'll probably want to play that one. I haven't seen any mention of it yet.

Anybody know why most of the $650 sats are red in the lobby, but one of them is purple? What's the significance?

Next Saturday's $650 is in <font color="purple">purple</font>, as are the satellites to it... just as a means of differentiation.
