One Word Extinguisher > Vocal Studies

strongly disagree... some good stuff on it but i don't think it flows at all - way too much cutesy off-kilter stuff IMHO.

i actually like extinguished, the outtakes/b-sides/extra cuts album from OWE, better than the album itself.

How can anyone suggest a Wu album that isn't liquid swords or 36 chambers?

i actually don't own a lot of instrumental hip hop... have most of the prefuse, shadow, rjd2 catalogs, haven't heard diplo. i have enjoyed some dj spooky stuff but he is hit or miss for me. would actually appreciate some recommendations for good instrumental stuff.

my most recent ipod shuffle mix is all dj shadow, prefuse, rza instrumentals, tortoise, sigur ros, sonny rollins, freddie hubbard, miles, trane and some chopin nocturnes. good ish.

Nia is the 2nd to worst Blackalicous album. Get Melodica and get Blazing Arrow.

would actually appreciate some recommendations for good instrumental stuff.

RJD2 - Horror EP (if you don't have it....probably his best)
Blockhead - Everything the Aesop Rock producer does = gold
J Dilla (aka Jay Dee) - Tribe producer's "Donuts" fantastic
Jel - "Soft Money" could be my new favorite album in genre
Omega One - Lo-Fi Chronicles...another good Aesop producer
Odd Nosdam - No More Wig for Ohio
Sixtoo - Chewing on Glass & Other Miracle Cures

Also, not quite instrumental hip-hop.....

Amon Tobin - INCREDIBLE beats, especially "Supermodified"

I recommend going to www.undergroundhiphop.com for samples
