is this true
beer before liquor, never sicker. liquor befor beer, never fear... we all know this infamous rhyme, we hear it at almost every party we go to, but is it true? does it really [censored] u up more if u drink liquor and then beer rather than the other way around? stories to either support or nullify this statement please.

if you get hammered on beer, and then start to drink liquor, it is very easy to start pounding large quantities of a liquid that is much higher % alcohol, as now you are a drunken macho jackass. if you go from drinking beer to (properly) mixed drinks, it shouldn't be an issue. the problem comes when you drink the same volume of liquid, but with higher alcohol content.
