Haha, I'm perfectly aware of how good 81k out of college is bro (especially for you, someone who actually enjoys the job), huge grats, I'm just giving you a hard time as always

If you bid 2 you should have gotten to choose trumps (unless someone else bid 2, in which case you would have cut).

[/ QUOTE ]

As i recall, clubs were trump, and I as the first to bid had already bid 2. so, his bid of 2 was even stronger.

whats the deal with choosing trumps? we always just turn over a card and call that one trumps.

[/ QUOTE ]

i have never played oh hell with choosing trumps either. i was confused because i always use spades as the trump suit. having the person who bids the most choose the trump suit would completely change the game. i don't really like that rule.

edit - are we playing the same oh hell? in the version i play, you deal out the whole deck. everyone bids. you play out all the tricks. if you get your bid exactly, you get 10 points plus your bid. if you miss, you subtract the amount you missed your bid by from your score. next round you deal out one less card to everyone. you go down to 1 card, then back up. at the end, whoever has the highest score is the winner.

After tax, that's about $145 a day for 8 hours of your day.

I really don't think it is, the brag here is that the op was actually motivated enough to get a job outside of poker. Salary is meh, considering where he's living.
I made 100k my first year out of school, but of course that's not hard if you actually went to a good college
