Re: QJs
*Grunch*
[ QUOTE ] Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, J. Hero calls, 2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, SB raises, BB calls, Hero calls, MP1 calls. Flop: (8 SB) T, 8, 6 (4 players) SB bets, BB folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls. Turn: (5.50 BB) J (3 players) SB bets, Hero calls, MP1 calls. River: (8.50 BB) 6 (3 players) SB checks, Hero bets, MP1 raises, SB folds, Hero... [/ QUOTE ] Preflop seems standard. Flop -- You have two overcards, and a gutshot. That is 10 outs, but of course these are all discounted. 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] can't be counted, and the PFR may have already have AA,KK, or be sharing some of your cards. It's unlikely that all your overcards are live, and the remaining 3 nines are giving you 1.5-2 outs because of the two flush board. I would put total outs at 5.75. So pot odds are 9-1 and drawing odds are 7-1. I'd peel this unless I had a strong read we were going to be raised. Turn -- I would raise here. Partly for value against SB who is likely beat now, to protect your hand against things like AQ, which is in SB's range, and to charge a flush draw. Raising here make its 7.5-2 to call, and someone holding two hearts can't call that profitably. River -- As played, fold. He either caught trip sixes, or a flush. I dont know what he would play like this, besides a stone bluff, that dosn't have you beat. If the pot we're a couple bets bigger, I would call. |

Re: QJs
*Post Grunch*
I agree with folding PF. These cards are just easily dominated, and it is hard to play a hand like this OOP against a raiser. |
