NL 200: Lost with KK b/c of turn mini-bet
Villain is 19/6/2 over 100 hands. I've seen him slowplay a big hand, and make a bad call with a marginal holding on a scary board. I've been playing LAG in position on him, reraising him out of a couple of pots pre-flop, as well as causing him to fold with a couple of continuation bets very recently.
His turn bet confused me. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) saw flop|saw showdown</font> SB ($185.70) BB ($234.20) UTG ($141) UTG+1 ($277.55) MP1 ($245.90) Hero ($294.10) MP3 ($194) CO ($524.10) Button ($31.40) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K, K. 1 fold</font>, UTG+1 raises to $6</font>, 1 fold</font>, Hero raises to $18</font>, 5 folds</font>, UTG+1 calls $12. Flop: ($39) A, 5, 8 (2 players)</font> UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $20</font>, UTG+1 calls $20. Turn: ($79) 9 (2 players)</font> UTG+1 bets $20</font>, Hero ??? |

My thought, too, initially. But why would he minibet? And what with?

he might be taking a shot at you b/c of your weak flop bet unless that bet size is typical for you.

Looks like villain is "blocking" with a weak-ace.

Re: NL 200: Lost with KK b/c of turn mini-bet
I would put Villain on AJ or lower. I agree with Blue Bear that this looks like a blocking bet. However, because of the way you have been playing, I don't think he will give up his hand against you. Your best option on the turn is to fold. If you just flat call, you're likely to face a bet on the river.
