I'm not really sure why the dealer even let your raise stand. Probably because it was 3/6.

I don't really see how you benefitted here. how is this different from just raising normally? did you call and then change your mind?

He is a Florida $2 bingo player and K6 is a monster. Leave him alone.

Any time you bend the rules/attempt to trick someone into folding, calling, raising, etc. then it is an angle shot.

I think we are all wrong here......Great cold call with K6, that is a monster! And keep thinking that making goofy plays like that is improving your win rate! You rock....

But they are right about one thing. You are a dick.

I moved to 3/6 ...

He bets but only throws out a a single 5 dollar chip and I quickly throw out 6. He then throws out an additional buck. I tell the dealer I tried to raise his bet but was confused by the single chip he threw. I state I wanted to raise and he says he will allow it. I put an additional 6 bucks in the pot.

He goes into the tank for 20-30 seconds and mucks...

My BS meter just exploded.

Hey I was pretty sure it was a angle shoot thus the post. I agree it was a dick thing to do. No excuse. I didn't plan it but when the situation came up with the one chip bet on the turn I just did it. Never even considered the situation before. I was expecting a check from him not a bet.

I made the trip since I had never been able to play at a real casino. Florida poker sucks. I didn't have a ton of money to spend so didn't want to play higher until I was sure the games were beatable. I guess you sat at a 10/20 first time you played in a casino. Plus I didn't know if I would have another opportunity to go to AC any time soon.

K6s is crap but with the aggresive raising preflop (almost every hand) I was not able to play many hands and decided to finally play (had to leave in 20 mins also) instead of folding. If I played sshe rules I wouldn't have been able to play more than one hand in the last 1 1/2. It was apparent the raising standards were very lax and I had to adjust. I was easily the tightest player there and I figured showing would generate more calls next time I raised.

I was very surprised that a live table had solid to very good players. Every live table I've ever played is usually horrible. There were some horrible players earlier but they went broke or to bed. Late on a week night only the hard cores were still playing?
