i mean, at the point where he admits he owes you something i don't understand why he doesn't lose 5 in a row. obviously you can't press him because he might not give you anything if you piss him off, but honestly: what's the thinking? like "well i don't have legitimate claim to the money but i feel like keeping some of it as a reward for being a nice guy"?

[/ QUOTE ]
you've got it backwards: the guy's not "keeping some of it as a reward for being a nice guy," he's being a nice guy by giving some of it back. he didn't admit to owing op anything, and of course he has totally legitimate claim to the money.

I'm only shipping back if I know the person and he seems like an OK guy. If it's an unknown, shipitholla.

i'd ship 0 back, a fool and his money are soon parted, i'd assume you'd just give the money to someone else

yeah, i think poker players develop a weird sense of ethics that kind of follows a rule like "if it's the type of thing that happens often, you can take his money no problem."

i mean, honestly: this is not much different from an online version of seeing somebody drop a 5k chip at a casino and picking it up and handing it to them: sure they were absent-minded and this caused them to be put in the situation, but that doesn't make it okay to just keep the money.
