He doesn't need more money. He needs people to spread the word.

This is not correct. He needs both. In American politics, money spreads the word.

You need money, lots and lots and lots of money, if you're a crazy psycho like standard politicians; ..when you have no ideas except some empty promises and baked air.

The idea of liberty doesn't need that.

Whether we like it or not, Paul really needs to be recognized as legit by television media. Paul isn't considered a first tier candidate by the press because he doesn't have as much money as others. I think his philosophy has less to do with it than some think. If he had as much cash on hand as Hillary he would get discussed more in the press.

[/ QUOTE ]

IIRC he's got a [censored] of cash already and spends much less than the others.

[/ QUOTE ]

According to this wiki article, Paul is nowhere near the big name candidates.

That site puts him squarely in 4th in cash on hand and not too far behind McCain. Romney and Giuliani are way ahead but that's expected.

Well I am a Canadian, so I definitely couldn't work as the intermediary... but he does want to legalize online poker and was one of the few who voted against banning it, so that might bring a lot of people out to tournaments supporting him. And of course it spreads the word about him to some of the thousands of people who post on 2+2.

I hesitate to nominate him without talking to him about it first, but if Borodog was designated as the middle man (he gets transfered all the money and is responsible for seeing that it goes to RP like it's supposed to) I would be down for participating in a tournament with a buy-in up to $1000 in support of Ron Paul.

(I'm not a baller by any means, this would be pretty reckless of me from a bankroll management standpoint, but some things are worth a little inappropriately large variance)

Give me the money instead. It'll be better employed by myself. I'll use it to support the free market!

Apparently I am a baller becasue I earned 2300 American Airlines miles today for my max donation.

oh, and if Borodog ever runs for some other office, I'm sure I would max out on that one also.
