Flop bet with the nuts
Sorry for the lack of readability - no hand converter. Villain has been playing loose, maybe even tilted. Haven't had more than ~ 30 hands against him on this table, but he's already stacked me once and lost some other big pots to others. He's been calling down light but I haven't seen him caught in a bluff.
Omaha High Pot Limit EUR 2/4 - Table "Independence" Players(max 6): gilga (EUR 703,60 in seat 1) -silje19- (EUR 1 015,00 in seat 2) ur555im666 (EUR 971,00 in seat 3) viperssr (EUR 845,15 in seat 4) lokur (EUR 2 549,29 in seat 5) Grim_OAK (EUR 1 974,50 in seat 6) Dealer: lokur Small Blind: Grim_OAK (2,00) Big Blind: gilga (4,00) Grim_OAK was dealt: As - 3s - Ah - Kh -silje19- Fold ur555im666 Fold viperssr Raise (14,00) lokur Fold Grim_OAK Raise (44,00) gilga Call (42,00) viperssr Raise (64,00) Grim_OAK Raise (234,00) gilga Fold viperssr Call (202,00) Flop Ks - 6s - 4s Grim_OAK Bet (606,00) So.. I decided to pot it. Villain has about €550 left so I'm basically putting him all in. The alternative line is to bet very small (1/3) or check to feign weakness and give him the opportunity to bluff/draw. If he goes for the bluff that's obviously excellent, but my hand isn't invincible either - villain is going to have KKxx a lot of times here. Also, I've been doing a fair amount of checkraising while on the table so I'm not sure a passive line is necessarily going to induce him to bluff. The pot-sized bet is also somewhat consistent with AAxx with the ace of spades (but not necessarily any other spades) hoping to take down the pot there and then, so I was hoping a lower flush might call me. I'm fearing this line might be a little too weak though. Thoughts? |

[/ QUOTE ] like it for this reason - you might get a call from a lower flush, and if he has KK hes certainly calling, but this does pretty much play itself for this reason |

i like it
one of the situations when half-pot bet looks stronger than full pot |

Re: Flop bet with the nuts
Hell yes! After all that PF, you're going to have to pot it regardless, so why not pot it with the nuts?
I guess, honestly, HU I've been happier lately making my first bet more like 2/3 pot, so I'd probably bet slightly less. But I think you have to be consistent with whatever you'd bet on AA with naked As. |

Re: Flop bet with the nuts
I like! but I also think betting $200 and hoping he shoves or calls is OK as well - try to get some more value. You have a K in your hand, so AAxx is just as likely as KKxx and he could be drawing very slim.
