Per KFFL.com, Brees just signed with the Saints a few minutes ago. Almost immediaetly after the Culpepper trade.

Wow. Poor Drew Brees. I feel so bad for that guy right now.

The Saints snagging Brees (for 6 years) has tremendous potential to shake things up on draft day.

[/ QUOTE ]

He could've had Miami if he budged a little on the money. Not that that's a much better situation. He's got some good weapons in NO, just not sure if he has a stadium/fans/city.

They should be able to get either Tenn or the Jets to trade up to ensure Leinert. That's of course assuming the Texans don't trade downa nd take Bush, and the Jets don't get Ramsey and go D'Brickashaw in the first.

He will get good food for a year or two and then be back in socal when the team moves there. I bet he doesn't sell any california real estate yet.

Dammit, I wanted Kitna.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is almost offensive to anyone who has actually rooted for a kitna team.

As a stop-gap until Leinert/Cutler/Pennington are ready. I know what I'm saying.

brett- Kitna is flat bad.

He has no arm.

He can't run.

He backs that up with bad decision making.

There's a bunch of other QBs who are basically as good and won't cost as much. I'd rather have Brooks Bollinger, who you have, for instance.

Umm, two years ahgo Kitna had a very good year. I cant imagine Bollinger is better. And I like Brooks. And I don't think he got the shot he (or any other QB) deserved. But to say that he's better than Kitna doesn't resonate.

Anyhoo, no sense in arguing, because it ain't going to happen.
