Final table in a tournament, 132 entries, 15 prizes.

Its like the 2nd orbit on the final table of an $85 freezeout, I have been pretty active moving in 3 times and stole the blinds. The other players have been somewhat tight. Avg stack is ~20k.

My stack: 16,5k
The other stacks: 11k-31k, the players left to act have about the same as me.

Do you push, raise (how much and do you fold to a push? (guess raise/folding is out of the question)), or just fold?

Seems like an easy shove. Raise/folding 1/3 of your stack seems very bad.

alright, seems like an easy push and I certainly agree and it is what I did (unfortunately BB picked up AQ that he called with and I was out in 10th place):

three questions to you that agree with this, in general:

1. whats the worst position you push first in in this spot with ATo?

2. what range do you push with here from the hijack?

3. would you ever consider something like raising 2.3bb and folding to a push in this spot with any hand?

Not unless they are never shoving KQ, A9s etc. So no. And even if a shoving range was 66+, AJ+, I'm guessing you're still priced in. And then there's the fact that opening small after open shoving a few times has an incalculable effect on restealing ranges (some will narrow, some will widen) and you'll get flatted more which is going to tend to suck.

1. General answer of course, but I'd fold UTG, UTG+1, MP1 and push the rest.

2. any pair, any ace, K5s+,K8o+,Q7s+,QTo+,JTo, J9o, any scs 87s+ or so. Play with ICM if you want more exact ranges, but I think that's decent.

3. No. Getting flatted sucks so hard. You'll have odds anyway. If you construct a weird example it's possible (where everyone behind you are uberrocks e.g.).

I think that if the blinds had you covered I would like making it 2.5 BBs and CALLING a shove. As you will definitely get players who will shove very silly stuff over your raise thinking that you can't call with a certain percentage of your raising range; you are raising small to allow yourself the option to fold; people steal in late position; etc, etc.

And if this tournament only has Swedish players that surely becomes more likely...

And remember its not about result its about playing correctly. In this case you did right to push AT from CO. I would fold it UTG,UTG+1 but start shoving in MP with these stakcs/blinds
