Default 100NL: J8s (LOL) UTG+1 Playing as a LAG

OK OK I know preflop is absolutely terrible and I would never do this again. When I first glanced at my hand I thought I saw J9s then realized shortly after its J8s ([censored]!). Its obv. wayyyy too marginal to be raising in this position, especially since J9s probably isn't profitable.

Either way the two hands are essentially equal in value on that flop. Villian is 18/12/4 in my database. Definitely had him pegged as more aggro at the time though, like 18/14/6 at least.

I was playing 30/29/4.5. I hadn't done anything really stupid lately though. Does he look me up too often on this flop or no? There's also the playing-back factor but I dunno....

Given the preflop coldcall and flop raise, I put villain on sets, 2 pairs, 67 and QJ, pair+oesd, fd and occasional air... I am confused myself, villain could be raising flop with anything. But it seems like most of the range will be calling your raise.

Board: Th 8h 9d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 28.924% 23.69% 05.23% 5394 1192.00 { Jc8c }
Hand 1: 71.076% 65.84% 05.23% 14992 1192.00 { JJ-88, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, Ah9h, KhQh, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s }

You are crushed by that calling range, so villain must be raising your flop fairly lightly for your push to be profitable.

That is the most unrealistic range ever.

I am still learning... what other hands could a standard villain call with?

A ton of other stuff like suited broadways etc. etc. I'm a 30/29/5 man thats incredibly laggy. Of course if he has a big draw/set/two pair/straight here I'm [censored].

I wouldn't push here, you will get called too often to make it profitable

Well, that range i had there is the range that is calling your push. My point is that you need him to fold quite a bit of hands, if he raises light, like any 2 overcards, any pair+draw, fd, tp, then the push is good, as he would be folding those hands on the flop.
