Ya, thats awesome. Makes you wonder though, the guy has 180k to spend on a boat, yet puts no GPs tracking on it.

It's possible its GPS equipped, but that the GPS was not turned on either because it was being serviced or that the would-be thieves turned it off on purpose

Last request. The guy who runs the marina where my boat was boosted finally calls me today for the first time... not to apologize, but to express his desire for the 5 grand for the boat repairs that i never verified were done because it was stolen off of his property in his care and custody... or he is going to sue. i must have a some bad ju ju on me, or something.

anyways, i laughed and told him to F OFF. i called my insurance company and i wrote a letter tonight, documenting the lunacy and threatening a counter suit. any other ideas?

That's wierd because I live pretty near to that place. I assume it was trailered when they boosted it?

I'm surprised your insurance company just paid it off and didn't pursue the Marina at all.

my insurance will go after their insurance.

if you are a boater stay away from them. i and the police think it was an inside job. obviously, they are a sleazy bunch (american offshore) for the way they handled it. btw, the boat was found stripped, no trailer, lying in the swale of miramar pkwy.
